Wrapping up our Boston Christmases

We are on the down-hill slope of dental school and are preparing for M to graduate in May...our time is Boston has gone by SO fast and we are not prepared to see it end just yet (luckily we have a few months left!)

But, we knew this would be our last chance to enjoy the sights and sounds of Boston during Christmas. We are spending Christmas in Las Vegas with his parents so we had to do a couple things before we leave:

The Nutcracker.

Never been before. (honestly...we probably won't go again b/c ballet just isn't our thing), but it was still cool to see once! (oh, and that's me being a ballerina. and him being a... ballerin-man. what do you call men ballerinas?)

The Tree at Faneuil Hall

We love Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall during the holidays...it's all lit up and smells of fresh cut Christmas trees. Oh, and the tree is really, really big! We'll miss our yearly tradition of perusing shops, eating dinner, and gazing at the tree with the beautiful Boston skyline towering over and all around us...

Wish we could wrap it all up and take it with us...wherever we go.

  1. I don't know ANYONE who has taken advantage of living in Boston like you guys have.

  2. Yes, we've certainly tried very hard to get it all in, Janssen. Who knows...maybe we'll be headed your way when we graduate! We'll see! :)

  3. I've been a follower of your Love, Actually blog and knew your husband was in dental school, but I didn't realize that he and my husband (who is also in dental school) were in the same year! We'll be graduating from Creighton in NE this May. I just wanted to thank you for your blog!! It has helped a ton through the "scrimping and saving but still trying to keep up the dating life" scene! Congrats to you guys for almost being done! Looking forward to browsing your new blog more. :) Thanks again!

  4. How exciting! We are excited to be done soon, but yet have NO idea where we are going....it's kinda scary not knowing what the future holds! Glad you were able to benefit from Love Actually! Happy last few months of Dental School! (you should email me around April or early May. I'll be planning a dental grad party and would be happy to share any details I have with you at that point!)

  5. P.S. Love the fact that you live in Boston. I'm LDS and grew up here (so i find the adapted 12 days of christmas for new england area VERY hilarious). I just got married and my husband and I want to come live out here someday - maybe for grad school!
