Taste of Boston {or your city}

My sister-in-law came to visit once from Utah and stayed with us. As a thank-you, she left a yummy pancake mix from Lehi Mills and other Utah-themed foods on our dresser to find after she left. What a fun surprise!

I liked it so much that I made my own version to send to family members for Christmas. Mine is Boston themed of course, but you can certainly adjust this gift to reflect your city!

The explanation card is what makes the gift meaningful...include any personal connections you have to that food so it seems that much cooler....rather than something they could just buy at their grocery store!

I've done this twice and they were quite different both times, depending on what I could find and how large a package I wanted to send.

So, hey, Boston Friends....this is a list for you:
Boston Cream Rolls - Little Debbie (grocery store)
Wheat Thins - North End Parmesan & Herb (grocery store)
Boston Baked Beans Candy (candy/grocery store)
Necco Wafers Candy - made in Revere (grocery store)
Boston Red Sox Cotton Candy
Red Sox or Patriots M&Ms (i-party for $7.99)
Mike's Pastry - a box of pizzelles (Boston's North End)
Cape Cod Potato Chips (grocery store)
Dunkin Donuts - coffee beans/packaged coffee (grocery store)
Boston Harbor Tea Packet (Faneuil Hall Market)
Nantucket Dark Chocolate Cookies (Pepperidge Farm)
Cape Cod Cranberry Bog Frogs (online or Faneuil Hall)
Gummy Lobsters (Faneuil Hall Market)
Chocolate "Boston Cobblestone" Rocks - Best of Boston in Faneuil Hall Market
Pure New England Maple Syrup (check Christmas Tree shops first, then Faneuil Hall)

....please add to my list if you can think of anything!
